Yep, thats the impression I get - use RM to find best settings, then enter them manually in bios. I found if using pbo thru the bios it will auto give you Points higher in cb20 the cpu will maintain higher clocks compared to the master software throttling.

Gigabyte seems to have upped their game significantly when it comes to their bioses, I heard many positive reactions according to their bios. But yeah the Crosshair 8 Hero is also really decent, but i hear some complaints about Asus their bios lately. Also did you also considered Asrock as an option?
